JLL European Living Report – What’s the investor appetite?

JLL European Living survey, supported by Aberdeen Standard Investments

May 30, 2019

Changing demographics, social and economic drivers are fueling investment decisions as investors put a greater focus on Living asset classes (Living includes student housing, residential and healthcare). However, the scale of investor appetite has been unknown, until now.

Supported by Aberdeen Standard Investments our survey, the first of its kind, has sought to understand the global investment appetite into European Living assets, bringing transparency to the market and giving investors greater insight.

Hear Adam Challis, EMEA Head of Living Research, discuss how investors across Europe are now paying closer attention to the Living asset class.

Key results from our survey include:

  • Global investor appetite in Living assets is set for 30% growth in 2019
  • 79% of investors are looking to expand exposure to the Living sector
  • 80% of respondents believe that ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) will be a key driver of future Living investment decisions.
