High-end office vacancy rate remains stable in São Paulo| 1Q2023

Buildings with sustainability certification have better occupancy performance.

May 08, 2023

The first quarter of 2023 registered a slight increase in the vacancy rate of high-end offices in the city of São Paulo compared to the end of last year. The index is stable compared to the same period of 2022, according to the First Look report, produced by JLL.

The projection is that, by the end of 2023, another 200,000 sqm will be integrated into the city's office stock, and there may be a slight increase in the vacancy rate. Net absorption should be positive and the average price of rents in the city should increase.

Beginning of the year shows better performance of those who are green

Research carried out by JLL shows that buildings with sustainability certifications have a lower vacancy rate than those that are not aligned with these practices in most regions of the city.
