Rio de Janeiro has a high number of movements and a drop in the average price | 2Q2023

In the first half, the city of Rio reached the highest number of absorptions since 2019.

August 08, 2023

For the first time since 2019, the high-end corporate market in Rio de Janeiro reached a significant rate of 84 absorptions. The value represents the equivalent of 70% of the movements that occurred throughout 2022 and, if we compare the 1H2023 with the same period of the previous year, there was an increase of 64%.

Even far from the other large shopping centers, the highlight in terms of performance in the quarter was Barra da Tijuca, which concentrated 45% of the absorptions reported in the semester, portraying an optimistic scenario for the next quarters of 2023.

Large areas returned reduce the average price of RJ

The average price was reduced by 6% compared to the first quarter, and one of the main reasons for this is the average price of the areas returned. Due to this trend, the price is expected to remain stable until the end of the year 2023.
