I joined this BRG to be in a position to serve our members and become part of a growing network of powerful professionals at JLL. I enjoy being an advocate for positive change at work, as well as in our community. We can learn so much from each other. I was in my early 20’s when I joined JLL. Although my understanding of the commercial real estate industry was fair, I was new to this firm’s high level of operation. Luckily, I found the heart of the people I worked with to be very development-oriented. Through the challenges we face, we mentor and support one another. Seven years later, I now find myself contributing to the tradition. There’s nothing like working with people every day who believe in you. I’m grateful to all of my co-workers and managers who have helped me along the way.

I initially joined the BRG to get to know others in the DC metro region and to learn more about JLL. My favorite experience in the EBPN has always been the Mid-Atlantic joint panel with our Women’s Business Network where commercial real estate leaders discuss their experiences in the industry. It’s always insightful and refreshing to engage with a diverse group of men and women in CRE as they share stories and offer wisdom and advice taken from their missteps and successes.

The Black Professionals Network chapter in Atlanta gathered for a local event.
The Black Professionals Network chapter in Detroit teamed up with the Women's Business Network and a client to support their annual holiday toy drive.
The Black Professionals Network National Leadership Team gathered in Chicago for their annual strategy session in November to discuss 2019 and plan 2020 goals.
Members of The Black Professionals Network attended the Executive Leadership Council's Mid-Level Managers’ Symposium, which prepares high-performing managers from JLL and other like-minded companies for break-through career growth.
The Black Professionals Network partnered with JLL Houston and JLL's national recruiting team to exhibit at the Black MBA Conference.
