The region had the best gross absorption in the city and a sharp drop in vacancy.

The region of Porto Maravilha was responsible for more than 50% of Rio de Janeiro's gross absorption in the third trimester of 2019, according to the First Look repor done by JLL. The volume of new occupations and new locations propeled the drop in vacancy and the availability in the region by 10 percentage points and 8 percentage points, respectively.
